Restorative Yoga Classes for St. Luke’s Quakertown Cancer Patients

Hillery Woods Siatkowski

Roots & Wings Facilitating Healing, in Quakertown has received a grant from St. Luke’s Quakertown for cancer patients to receive free yoga classes, thanks to Mary Ann Angelo, a cancer care counselor at St. Luke’s. Chair yoga, offered on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. and a Let Go and Restore class on Fridays at 6 p.m., are great options for those who need to concentrate on moving vital energy and reducing stress.

Roots and Wings Founder, Hillery Woods Siatkowski, is educated and experienced in providing compassionate support for those living with cancer. She completed the fi rst Jin Shin Jyustu certifi ed practitioner training last year at Morristown Hospital, where patients have access to integrative care. Reinforcing safety within the Nervous System is important when the body is in a constant state of survival due to critical illness. Every day is different for cancer patients; coming to class is an accomplishment worth celebrating.
