Free Talk on Drug-Free Relief for Chronic Pain
Greg Schweitzer, a meditation teacher with more than 40 years of experience, is offering two free talks on Effortless Meditation from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., February 6 and 20, at Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center in west Lehigh Valley.
Many chronic issues are directly related to stress and the deep rest provided by Effortless Meditation helps provide natural and effective relief. Schweitzer shares one patient’s story. “Sarah thought her gastroenterologist was crazy,” he says. “He said that stress could be the culprit for her stomach pain. Numerous diagnostic tests could not determine the source of her discomfort. Then, two weeks after she took our Effortless Meditation course, the pain was gone.”
“The pain is real, it’s not in her mind,” explains Schweitzer, who taught under the clinical direction of Deepak Chopra, M.D. “Stress causes muscle tension. Hold a tight fist for an entire day and it hurts. It’s well known that chronic stress may cause or aggravate headaches, pain in our jaw, arms, abdomen and neck—you name it.” The deep rest and relaxation that Sarah found in Effortless Meditation provided the relief she needed and it can be learned by anyone.
