Free Talks: Gain Restful Sleep with Effortless Meditation™
More than half of Americans over 50 report waking up too early and not returning to sleep, and 40 percent say they aren’t getting enough sleep. It’s a myth that adults need less sleep as they age. Research validates that most adults require seven to eight hours of restful sleep. Skimping on shuteye can lead to a host of serious diseases, such as depression and dementia.
What can we do? Our waking lives are so fast paced. Then, at bedtime, the stimulated, overworked mind resists our body’s requirement for rest. Our mind needs to disconnect, not continue to chatter on and on, when we close our eyes. Effortless meditation can help.
Greg Schweitzer, a meditation teacher with 40 years of experience, will provide two free talks on this important topic from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., January 9, and from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., January 12, at Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center, in the west Lehigh Valley. Greg has worked with and taught under the clinical direction of Deepak Chopra, M.D. His extensive client list includes employees, executives, students, physician-referred patients and international celebrities, such as George Harrison of the Beatles and author Wayne Dyer, Ph.D.
Location: 628 Twin Ponds Rd., Breinigsville. For information or to preregister (required), call Greg at 610-670-6700 or visit EffortlessMeditation.net.Edit ModuleShow Tags
