Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Seed Farm Ride and Run

The seventh annual Seed Farm Ride and Run presented by Samuel Adams will be held on Saturday, July 11, to experience the Lehigh Valley’s scenic farmland while supporting The Seed Farm’s new farmer training and farm business incubator programs. Choose from noncompetitive 10, 25, and 50 mile cycling courses, or take part in the “Run the Farm” 5K trail run/walk.

Events begin at 8:30 a.m. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, beer and ice cream from local and organic sponsors and admission to the Post-Ride/Run Celebration. Water and snacks will be available at multiple farm stops along the route. VIP options are also available.

The Seed Farm’s farmer training and agricultural business incubator programs help to start and maintain new sustainable farms in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. There is a growing demand to grow fresh, healthy food for our communities. This program creates jobs, supports the local economy, keeps farmland productive and safe from development, and protects our natural resources while replacing the generation of farmers that is approaching retirement.

Location: 5854 Vera Cruz Rd., Emmaus. Under 18 ride and run free. For more information, call 610-391-9583, ext. 16 or visit TheSeedFarm.org.
