Gear Up for the 2017 Via Marathon

The 2017 Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Via Marathon is scheduled for September 9 and 10, in Allentown. The weekend encompasses six events: a marathon, half marathon, five-person team relay, 5K run, kids race and via walk. Scenic and shady and with a net elevation drop of 240-ft., the Via Marathon is one of the fastest marathon’s in the U.S.

To wrap up the weekend, the Finish Festival will take place September 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at Scott Park in downtown Easton, with food and beverages available until 1 p.m. Many stores and restaurants in downtown Easton will be open on Sunday as part of the celebration.

The LVHN Via Marathon raises funds for Via of the Lehigh Valley’s services for children and adults with disabilities. Serving our community since 1952, the dedicated and committed care providers at Via work to help children overcome developmental delays, help people find meaningful and sustainable jobs and provide the resources and opportunities for people with disabilities to lead active and enjoyable lives in their own community.

Marathon, half marathon, and team relay registration closes on August 8. 5K and walk registration continues through Sept. 9. To volunteer, register, donate or learn more about Via’s services, email [email protected], call 610-317-8000 or visit ViaMarathon.org.
