Annual New Jersey State Fair

It’s where farm meets fun! The annual New Jersey State Fair is the largest agriculture fair in the state. There are six barns full of animals, and your children can get up close to them. Take a break in Founders’ Park and watch horses prepping for the daily horse show. The exhibit building houses art, photography and honey show as well as beautiful quilts and homemade items for home and hobby. The greenhouse is full of vegetables and there is an adjacent flower show. Learn about farming at the milking parlor and agricultural museum. Turn your children loose in the Farm Fun building to make scarecrows, ride pedal tractors and more. Add to that a carnival with rides and games, favorite fair food, free entertainment and lots to see.

Opening day is Friday, August 2, and the Fair is open 10am-10pm until Sunday the 11 which is 10am-5pm. It’s located in Augusta, NJ, at 37 Plains Road. There are many admission specials and wristband days to make a visit more attractive to families. Visit NJStateFair.org for information on all our special days and rates.
