Learn Mindfulness Techniques to Heal Brain from Trauma

Alexandra T. Milspaw, Ph.D., LPC, a certified master NLP practitioner and certified consulting hypnotist, will offer a Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) training workshop from, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 11, for individuals seeking self-care techniques and for therapists looking for new tools to help their clients.

MSBR continues to gain interest to the therapeutic community as exercises have been shown to heal the brain and nervous system from trauma, stress and pain. MSBR Practitioners may create pathways to become more effective, efficient and successful in work, personal life and physical well-being. The course teaches the difference between concentration, contemplation, and movement meditations and identifies the three parts of the brain that change with trauma and heal with mindfulness-based techniques as well as explaining three popular types of breath meditation. This educational and experiential workshop will provide easy ways to fit mindfulness exercises into a busy schedule. All participants will receive a certificate as a meditation trainer.
