Fit City, a new holistic fitness center, has opened at 484 South Nulton Avenue, in Palmer Township. The center offers Cybex strength and cardio equipment, a mild hyperbaric oxygen chamber (MHOC), therapeutic massage, a mindfulness suite where members can view nature videos and listen to relaxing music, personal and small group training, health and wellness seminars and a monthly community service night, where members and nonmembers can view webinars and videos on a variety of health and wellness topics.

“We have the Lehigh Valley’s only truly wheelchair-accessible facility”, states Co-owner Rich Schneider. “The weight-training machines have pins in the seats that allow them to swing out of the way so someone in a wheelchair can easily maneuver themselves in place to use the equipment.”

The increased oxygen pressure of the MHOC allows the blood plasma and other fluids of the body to absorb additional oxygen, thus greatly increasing uptake by the cells, tissues, glands, organs and brain for vital cellular functions that produce healthier tissues and organs.
