February is the perfect time to bundle up and head to Emmaus to have a blast—a SnowBlast! The 7th Annual SnowBlast Winter Festival—packed with free, community-wide, art-related events—will take place throughout Emmaus, February 1 and 2.
Activities include favorites such as the Friday night kick-off on the Emmaus Triangle, with an appearance by the SnowBlast Ice Princess, sculpted ice demonstrations and the popular Ice Bar hosted by the Emmaus Main Street Partners. The festival includes the SnowBlast Art Show and Sale at the Clock Building, featuring a collection of artwork by local talent as well as special musical performances. Saturday continues with activities scheduled at the Emmaus Public Library and the Clock Building. Other highlights include tai chi and Asian drum demonstrations, outdoor games, fireside storytelling and craft making at Emmaus Public Library and more.
“We’re continuing to celebrate the arts,” says Teri Sorg-McManamon, chair of the event. “We’re offering Saturday art activities coordinated by the Emmaus Arts Commission to continue the great traditions around SnowBlast and add more collaborators and artistic events throughout Emmaus.”
The celebration schedule and activities’ times will be posted January 15 on EmmausArts.org.
