How to Align Your Dogs
Not your ACTUAL dogs!!
Adho Mukha Shvanasana (down dog), Urdhva Mukha Shvanasana (up dog) and Uttana Shishosana (puppy pose) are known for being beginner (asana) poses. However, they are intricate and may cause harm if you're not properly aligned. Wrist, shoulder and/or ankle pain while practicing these poses are warning signs that you may be out of alignment. Join Katie Brunner and learn how limb length, body type, height, and hyper extending might be getting in the way of feeling comfortable in your dog poses! Modifications will be demonstrated and practiced for each asana.
Props: 2 yoga blocks and a blanket for this workshop. A good substitution for blocks is stacked books (4” in height). There will be a gentle yoga flow and some stretches between each demonstration.
Offered virtually and in-person. Space is limited; registration required.
