Brown Eyed Girl

Oct 02, 2023 09:10PM ● By Annie Vinatieri (Certified Comprehensive Iridologist)

While nearly half the world statistically has brown eyes, there is nothing bland or homogenous about this eye! Each eye is like a fingerprint; no two are the same. Beloved musician Van Morrison waxed eloquent about the lovely brown eyed girl.

In the holistic modality of Iridology (the study of the body & its systems as it can be determined from the iris & its markings), the brown eye is also called the Hematogenic Eye constitution. This dominant gene trait is characterized by the presence of melanin in the eye.

The main constitutional challenges of the Hematogenic Eye are:

  • cardiovascular, trace minerals (related to poor liver function) & blood related disorders
  • challenges with spleen function
  • Bone Marrow disorders
  • GI function issues
  • the tendency to higher incidence of parasite issues
  • tendency to hypoglycemia & diabetes (Type II)

Iridologists may suggest variations of the following herbs, dietary/lifestyle adjustments to address pathologies in a brown eyed client.

  • consider taking papaya enzyme or bromelain
  • increase raw fruits & veggies; decrease heavy fats, refined carbs and excessive animal product intake
  • try sea veggies, they have critical micronutrients your digestive & cardiovascular system will love such as: dulse, nori, wakame, kelp, etc.
  • Certain herbs and supplements, case dependent, such as Gingko Biloba, Hawthorne, Vitamin E & CoQ10, Milk Thistle, red beets, etc.
  • Increase physical activity & healthy exercise

Brown-eyed people can feel empowered to prevent a host of potential challenges if they adjust their view on personal habits, lifestyle & eating patterns. A long, healthy life is theirs for the taking!
