Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Racing For Life in Allentown

More than 4,000 women will run and walk in the 23rd annual Women's 5K Classic—For Women's Fitness, for Cancer Survivors, for Cancer Education, for Life—on October 17, at Little Lehigh Parkway, in Allentown. This year's event includes a 5K Run and a 5K Competitive Walk. The festivities begin at 9 a.m., followed by the Parade of Champions and events.

Through a unique community effort in the Greater Lehigh Valley, the mission of the Women's 5K Classic is to promote fitness among women and invite them to participate in running and walking to enhance their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The tevent also educates women about cancer awareness, prevention and treatment, supports women with breast and female cancers and their families and contributes to funding for related programs and research in the Lehigh Valley.
