Share Your Light!

Dr. D Rodger ND, MBA

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.  Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

- Albert Schweitzer

Every time I sit down to draft my publisher’s letter, I reflect back on the month and there is always something that I have to, or want to, share with my readers and without going into too much personal detail, this is my thought for the month.

As much as we endeavor to keep that flame of spirit alive within us, there are times when we allow, or circumstances allow us to wallow in our self-imposed misery.  Hopefully, such times are few and far between, but it does happen, and it happens to everyone.  Fortunately, there are those who are there for us, ready, willing and able to pull us out of our blue funk, or as Schweitzer puts it, our light is rekindled by the spark of another.

At risk of becoming too philosophical, it must be said that we must each be ready, willing and able to rekindle the light of another.  In order to be able to do that, we must work to keep the flame within us burning brightly and never hesitate to spark that in someone else when needed.   If we fail to spark the flames within those around us, we have no access to a spark when we need one.

When we share our light with others, and they share it with others, and so on, we are assured that when and if we ever need a tiny spark to rekindle the fire within us, one will be there.  If no one is willing to relight the flame in another, the light will eventually be gone from mankind forever.  So SHARE YOUR LIGHT!  Be there for those who may need you as you will need them at some time, for sure.
