Quite recently I got invited to a network meeting, something that I had not attended since before COVID.  I was somewhat reluctant because it was a 90-minute drive there and back, but so glad I made the trip, and this is why I think we all should start attending these network meetings.

No matter what profession you’re in, you’re guaranteed to pick up something when attending a networking event.  From making valuable connections, which is a key to success, to finding out what customers think of your product or service. 

When attending events within your field, you increase the chances of mingling with your ideal prospects who know your business and brand. You want them to know who you are, what you do, how you work, and your vision. Through networking, you want to educate other professionals on your business and your interests, because you never know who may be interested. Word of mouth is a great way to grow and expand, which is why you want to be talking about what you are doing. Often, like-minded holistic experts also want to educate you on what they are doing, you never know how you can benefit or collaborate.

You’ll always be surprised by how you can help someone or how someone can help you. When you interact with similar people at an event or after an event, you form a relationship. This can often lead to being invited to other prominent networking events or can result in a new introduction to other people who have the potential to be valuable contacts moving forward.

Recognition can be one of the biggest obstacles for any business. Online marketing may not have the desired outcome if you do not spread the word effectively. Networking is a great opportunity to meet potential customers and get an appreciation of your business.  Most networking events allow a pitch in front of attendees which is a great opportunity to build recognition around you, your product, and your service.
