Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Staying Clear

Sep 30, 2025 06:00AM ● By Vanessa Perez Weiss, BCH, FNP, NP-C

After Spirt Release a person will be able to notice when the mood or body is giving signs that something is amiss and take positive action. People feel and act differently after a well executed Spirit Release (Baldwin, 1991). Habits that are not productive or healthy may come to an abrupt stop and people have a better self-concept and more self-confidence without the artifice or props that were once used. These changes are not just a byproduct of connecting with a higher level of consciousness, it's turning a new leaf! Some people are amazed by is the sudden change and wonder of when or if the old urges and impulses will come back. It’s important to understand that this change is part of the process and accept it as a blessing.

For some people even though the impetus to do the habit behavior is gone they may just be so used to going through the motions and having it be part of their identity that the behavior lingers on after the clearing.

In either case it is best to “do the work” to prevent getting new attachments. Traditional therapy and counseling help people get accustomed to new ways of coping and being. It's beneficial to feel good about oneself, learn interpersonal communications skills, and find positive ways to process grief and loss. This way people can enjoy life to the fullest.
