My Thoughts for The Month:

I had the pleasure of being part of a Personal Development company many years ago. For those of us who are entrepreneurs we know it is a constant strive to obtain the success we are searching for.

It doesn’t matter what area of the workforce you are qualified in, when starting out on your own, whether it be a doctor, accountant, attorney, electrician…and the list goes on. They all needs clients to earn a living, no individual is that gifted to open up a business and they are flooded with customers, it just doesn’t happen, but how we wish it would because this usually causes stress.

Stress has a huge impact on the body and can result in illness. It is defined as “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances”. When my sister was going through her divorce, the 2nd most stressful life event, she was diagnosed with cancer and lost her life to the main orthodox treatments of this disease. The 4th life stressor is financial, and the majority of people have been through this stress and some are even going through it now.

Stress has such an impact on the body and we have the tendency to keep wondering where we went wrong in our life when dealing with this and wish we did things differently. What has happened in your life up to this minute is unchangeable. It’s history. Looking back at missed opportunities and lamenting past events is the greatest waste of energy, and negative energy at that. Grudge collecting, getting even, harboring ill will and vengeful thinking do no good for the mind or body. Success is the only acceptable form of revenge. Write down on a sheet of paper things that happened in the past that bothered you. Now crumple the paper into a ball and throw it. Really. This symbolizes letting go of past misfortunes.

This is your life journey you are on, your ups and downs, and the downs at times can be somewhat challenging. This is life, your life, you are either in a crisis coming out of a crisis or about to go into one. This is the life path of everyone, it’s your journey and you’re on that journey for a reason. Whoever you are and whatever you are everyone has a dream and your unyielding drive to achieve it will be your most valuable asset in dealing with life’s stressors. Whatever life throws at you, never stop believing! Never give up!  Never quit! Persevere without exception, and you will come out the other side.
