World Tai Chi & Qigong Day
Learn about the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong at this free one-hour event. No experience is necessary.
Tai Chi and Qigong are ancient forms of exercise involving slow fluid movements. These ancient practices have been shown to boost the immune system, improve respiratory function, burn calories, improve balance, provide cardiovascular benefit, reduce stress, and slow the aging process.
World Tai Chi Day was started over two decades ago to promote awareness of these amazing practices in a celebration of personal and global health and healing. It is now celebrated in hundreds of cities across 80 countries around the globe. “One World…One Breath” is the motto of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day.
The Easton event is presented by the Village on College Hill, a member-driven organization on College Hill, Easton. A group of Village members and others from the community have been practicing Tai Chi and Qigong together on a regular basis since 2016. The April 27 event is hosted by the Nurture Nature Center and will take place under the globe of their ‘Sphere Room’ – a fitting location for World Tai Chi & Qigong Day. So bring your families and friends, have some fun, and get ready to move!
