Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Think Outside the Test Bubble!

Circle of Seasons Charter School, a Pre-K to eighth grade public school, is planning to open its doors in the Lehigh Valley for the 2012-2013 school year, pending approval by the Parkland School District Board of Directors. The tuition-free public charter is inspired by Waldorf Methods education. It will feature a non-traditional academic year calendar and be located on a 60-acre equestrian farm property at 2160 North Cedar Crest Boulevard in Allentown. “Our vision is to create a small school environment with a curriculum inspired by Waldorf education, rich in content, infused with the arts and applying best practices from experiential learning,” said Phil Arnold, founder of the charter school. “The children will have music, arts, movement, foreign language, handcrafts, and significant amounts of time spent outdoors to enhance the students educational experience. Circle of Seasons Charter School will be open to families from the urban, suburban, and rural areas of the greater Lehigh Valley and beyond. Parents, educators, and community members are invited to attend one of several Information Nights planned for August, September and October.
