Good Food Neighborhoods in All Directions

The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), a farmer-member organization, created the Good Food Neighborhood community outreach program in response to consumers not only looking to support PASA and their local farmer, but also to have access to resources that help them live more sustainably.

Good Food Neighborhood provides education, programming and services across the Commonwealth and throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast United States. Here, consumers, farmers, businesses and organizations can network around local foods and sustainable food systems.

In their newest endeavor, Sustainability Schools, PASA partners with organizations, groups and individuals to provide “Sustainability Schools.” Classes are filling up months before they occur and feedback is extremely positive.

Whether searching for local foods, attending local events, buying directly from a local farmer or market, or getting involved in food policy/advocacy, the entire community’s involvement in the local foods movement is vital to the sustainability of farms.

The Good Food Neighborhood is free to join. For more information, contact Hannah Smith, PASA community outreach coordinator, at 717-250-0725, [email protected] or GoodFoodNeighborhood.org.
