The art community in Jim Thorpe will host its fourth annual Jim Thorpe Art Weekend from 1-8 p.m., May 5 and 1-4 p.m., May 6 in the historic district of Jim Thorpe, where visitors can easily walk from gallery to gallery and event to event.

The best of Jim Thorpe will be on display throughout the weekend. The festival is a mix of free and ticketed events, live music in the park, a show at the Opera House, special culinary treats, storytelling, workshops, demonstrations by artists, lectures and gallery openings. Guests can pick up a welcome bag at the Jim Thorpe Train Station that includes information about the festival and valuable gifts from festival sponsors. Be sure to stop at the Jim Thorpe River Adventure exhibit to learn more about the art and culture of the Lehigh River and pick up a gift.
