2012 Alliance Directory is Here!
A key part of the work of the Alliance for Sustainable Communities-Lehigh Valley is to share and publicize information from organizations and businesses that promotes sustainable communities. Their annual directory supplies information to thousands about the many organizations and businesses that promote sustainability in the Lehigh Valley, and provides a view of the size and scope of the local sustainability movement. The 2012 Alliance Directory is now available at many nonprofits and businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley—a list is available on the website at SustainLV.org.
Published since 2004, this is the tenth year for the directory. The 2012 edition consists of 164 listings, plus pages on colleges, environmental advisory councils (EACs), farmers’ markets and watershed associations. In earlier editions, essays were included from individuals and organizations around the Lehigh Valley. Last year, in recognition of the essays, the directory was called “Sustainable Lehigh Valley” and indicated that it had two components—the directory and the essays. This year, the essay portion is its own section called “Voices of the Valley.”
