Yoga Bones Workshop
The Yoga Loft will present, “Yoga Bones: Understanding the Opportunities and Limitations Within the Skeletal System, taught by long time yoga student and teacher Mel Robin, from 1 to 4 p.m., February 3. William Broad recently featured Robin in the number one New York Times best-selling book, The Science of Yoga.
In the workshop, students will learn about the qualities of our “Yoga Bones”—how they function as a rigid scaffolding to support us against the pull of gravity, and how, in actuality, the bones are very much alive. The workshop will include a blend of lecture and asana as individuals learn to work with their bones from a brand new perspective. Students taking the course can receive a certificate of completion applicable to Yoga Alliance continuing education units.
Robin is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher with over 20 years of practice and teaching experience. He is the author of A Physiological Handbook for Teachers of Yogasana, and A Handbook for Yogasana Teachers: The Incorporation of Neuroscience, Physiology, and Anatomy into the Practice.
Cost is $50. The Yoga Loft is located at 521 East 4th St., Bethlehem. For more information or to reserve, call 610-867-9642 or visit TheYogaLoftOfBethlehem.
