Mindfulness Matters

 

The Center for Integrated Behavioral Health (CIBH), in Bethlehem, invites the public to an Intro to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., April 18. Shonda Moralis will talk about how stress affects the body, emotions and behavior, and teach participants three simple mindfulness practices that can help. The cost for the class is $25.

CIBH mindfulness offerings include individual mindfulness training and psychotherapy, which is one-on-one mindfulness-based cognitive therapy often covered by insurance; an upcoming Day of Mindfulness for Helping Professionals (CE credits for nurses and social workers); and an four-week series on mindfulness-based stress reduction, modeled on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
