Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Habitat for Humanity Luncheon and Nailing Contest

A Habitat for Humanity Women Build luncheon, themed She Nailed It, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 14, at the Holiday Inn in Fogelsville to raise money and awareness for the upcoming Women Build, commencing August 13 through 24, and prove what can be accomplished in the hands of some amazing ladies.

A ladies-only nail-hammering contest will pit teams of four in competition to see who can nail the fastest, and who really has the passion to hammer home the cause. Registration for the contest begins at 12:15 p.m.

The Women Build program, underwritten by Lowes, brings women from all walks of life together to learn construction skills and use them to be part of the solution to poverty housing. In the words of Michael Hyatt, former chairman and CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, “You can either accept reality as it is or create it as you wish it to be.”
