Canning Classes at Flint Hill Farm

After culling the garden or shopping at the farmer’s market and consuming their bounty, there are usually some perfectly good leftovers. The Flint Hill Farm Educational Center, in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, is holding summer sessions of canning classes from 10 a.m. to noon on May 19 (jams); June 9 (veggies and blanching); July 7 (pickles and corn); and August 24 (tomatoes, peaches and apples).

Participants will learn through demonstration and hands-on experience how to put up summer fruits and vegetables to enjoy in the colder months. All tools and supplies are provided at the class.

Cost is $25 per session, limited to 10 people. Location: 1922 Flint Hill Rd. For more information and to register, call 610-838-2928 or email [email protected].
