Help for Food, Body and Weight Issues

 

Gina Consalvo, RD, LDN, is holding a six-week skills-based mindful eating program designed to help individuals learn essential mindfulness skills and mindful eating tools that will give them a new, healthier relationship to food, weight, and their body. The group meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Saturdays, beginning August 3, at Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center, in West Lehigh Valley.

Participants will learn skills that include diaphragmatic breathing, body acceptance and awareness, mindful walking, the two-plate portion method, three-step intentional breath, four-mindful bites, creating space within, food ritual skills, mindful food shopping and more.

This program is designed for anyone that struggles with food, body, and weight issues, including compulsive eating, anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, migraine headaches, GI disorders, autoimmune diseases and osteoporosis.

Gina Consalvo, RD, LDN, Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marywood University with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics and her M.A. degree in Clinical Mental Health and Community Counseling from the College of New Jersey. She has counseled and assessed a wide range of patients and is also available for private counseling.
