Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

The Sweet Taste of Bartered Goodies

The second annual Lehigh Valley Food and Crop Swap, for gardeners, canners, cooks, bakers and brewers will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., September 29, in Hellertown. No money changes hands at this event, because all transactions are swaps of food and beverage items. Offerings must be homegrown, homemade or homebrewed—no store made items are allowed.

Last year’s bounty included homegrown, garden-fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, home-canned soups and sauces, fresh pesto, mead, and raw, dehydrated crackers. Participants must register and agree to be bound by cleanliness and content standards.
