Hosted by Renew Lehigh Valley (RenewLV), the inaugural Smart Growth Conference will be held October 24, at the Holiday Inn at Center City, in Allentown. The full-day event will offer nine workshops on a variety of smart growth and sustainability topics and a keynote address from planner Tom Comitta.

Topics and workshops include Breaking the Rules for Smart Growth; Modernizing How We Fight Crime; Say Sustainable Five Times Fast; Seeing Red: PA Municipalities and Act 111 & Act 47; In My Next Thirty Years; The ‘biz’ of the NIZ; Infrastructure: The Backbone of the Lehigh Valley; Pennsylvania’s Obstacle Course to Progress; and Cooperation Makes It Happen.
