A fundraiser for The Sanctuary at Haafsville in the lobby of Lehigh Carbon Community College Community Services Center from 9 a.m. to noon, December 6, includes a morning filled with yoga, a bake sale and silent auction. All the proceeds benefit the nonprofit dog and cat rescue.

Yoga teachers Prabha Sinha and Laura Gross will lead participants through a practice of vinyasa yoga and yoga nidra meditation. All levels are welcome, BYO mat. After yoga class, meet and greet some new furry friends. Light refreshments will be served.

The Sanctuary is a community resource that enriches the lives of its resident animals and members of the community in an environmentally sound facility by promoting programs that encourage interaction between people and animals to the benefit of both; providing for animals needing a temporary or permanent home in a humane and respectful way and showcasing the sustainability of green architecture and planning.
