The third annual Cherylanne Neidlinger Memorial Lupus Awareness Contest will be held as one of the culinary contests at the 2015 Great Allentown Fair. This year, the contest will be a wings, dipping sauce and sides. The contest was created by Heidi Givler and her family in memory of her sister, who passed away from Lupus. The family also suffers from Lupus/autoimmune. The goal is for the community to be made aware of this disease and that there is no cure.

Contestants must preregister to enter by 6 p.m., August 8. The contest will take place at 7 p.m., September 6, on the culinary stage of the Agriplex. During the judging, there will be talks about SLE Lupus, Healthy living, LFA, Lupus of PA and a Q&A session. Contestants and attendees will receive gift bags containing Lupus and Healthy Living information.
