Maintain Muscle Mass with Weight Training

Zisa Yoga and Fitness is holding a six-week Strength Training Workshop at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from August 11 to September 17. Participants will learn how to lose weight, change the shape of their body and strengthen their heart with three fundamental strength routines, working all the major muscle groups and learning the proper form for each exercise. Each person gets a private session with Zisa.
Lubarov-Walton states, “For a lean, fit body and strong bones, lift weights. Strength training significantly increases bone density and helps prevent osteoporosis. Sedentary individuals can lose an estimated 40 percent of their muscle mass by the age of 70. Strength training adds muscle that in turn, burns more calories. It boosts the immune system so you will heal faster and become less susceptible to colds. A strong, healthy body can help you to look and feel fantastic and help you to experience each day with vitality”
