Open House at River Valley Waldorf School
River Valley Waldorf School will be holding school tour on February 25 at 9 a.m. and an open house on March 5, beginning at 10 a.m., for families to learn more about Waldorf education and the schools Pre-K, Kindergarten and grades one through eight programs.
For Waldorf students, music, nature, theater, writing, science, mathematics, literature, legends and myths are not simply subjects to be read about, ingested and tested. They are experienced. Through these experiences, Waldorf students cultivate a lifelong love of learning as well as the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual capacities to become individuals engaged with the people and the world around them.
Developed by Rudolf Steiner in 1919, Waldorf education is based on a profound understanding of human development that addresses the needs of the growing child. Waldorf teachers trans-form education into an art that engages the whole child: their heart and their hands, as well as their head
Location: 1395 Bridgeton Hill Rd., Upper Black Eddy, PA. Call 610-982-5606 to register for the open house. See ad page 51.
