Deep Relaxation and Sound Bath with Crystal Bowls
Feb 29, 2016 12:24PM
Yoga Loft teacher Alysha Pfeiffer and musicians Peter Olsen and Meg Lyding will present an afternoon of deep relaxation from 4 to 6 p.m., March 20, featuring the soothing sounds of quartz crystal bowls. Pfeiffer will guide workshop participants through a restorative yoga practice that uses bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, and sandbags to support the body in various shapes. This style of yoga is good for all levels of yoga practitioners and is designed to create a state of calm within.
The pure nature of quartz crystal gives a rich, resonant tone. This is made by striking gently or rubbing them with a mallet. The tones move through our body in vibrant waves, calming, aligning and healing our energy centers. Growing medical research is validating the powerful use of these bowls in relaxing, balancing and restoring the human body, mind and spirit.
Cost $45. Location: The Yoga Loft, 521 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. Reservation required at 610-867-9642. See ad page 13.
