Nate Fredrick, a Christian Science practitioner and lecturer, will explore the how-to of spiritual healing in a talk at 2 p.m., April 17, at Cedar Crest College Oberkotter Hall, in Allentown.

From a Christian Science perspective, healing is finding Christ and understanding our oneness with divine life and being. Fredrick believes there is no better guide on Earth than the inspired word contained in the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. He says, “On our lecture day, we’ll be diving deep into the core of prayer that heals, as revealed in the first line of Mrs. Eddy’s Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures; ‘The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God, a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love.’”

Frederick is a media producer who launched and produced the award-winning Daily Lift podcast, as well as the Time4thinker weekly musical for The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston.
