Local Farmers’ Markets Spring to Life

Lehigh Valley residents that value knowing the source of their food and want to support local food producers will have more places than ever to shop producer-only farmers markets beginning this May. All of these markets provide a unique shopping opportunity where customers can sample the goods, develop relationships with the vendors, discover unique food varieties and learn healthy cooking tips at a fun, family-oriented destination.

Easton Farmers’ Market, America’s oldest continuous openair market, kicks off weekly markets on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Centre Square. Macungie Farmers’ Market at Memorial Park is held Thursdays 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning May 19. Saucon Valley Farmers’ Market at Water Street Park in Hellertown opens May 1 and is held each Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bethlehem Farmers’ Market located at the intersection of New and Morton Street, runs every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting May 5. Trexlertown Farmers’ Market gets underway on Saturday May 14th at Valley Preferred Cycling Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p. m. every Saturday.
