A Gathering of Herbologists
The American Herbalists Guild Symposium will be held from September 29 to October 3 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania, with some of the top herbalists in the country. In addition to three full days of lectures and plant walks, the event also offers longer, in-depth sessions with such noted herbalists such as David Winston, Matthew Wood, Mary Bove, Sheila Kingsbury, Paul Bergner and Rebecca Snow.
Topics include treatments for Lyme’s disease, herbs for childhood respiratory and digestive problems, the history of some of our major medicinal herbs infections, the 10 tastes of herbs and the latest on treating chronic infections with botanicals. A keynote address by Phyllis Hogan, shares her life's journey working with the native people and plants of Arizona, and serving her community as a village herbalist. Other symposium highlights include an expo hall featuring some of the top herb businesses in the country, a dance party and plenty of opportunities to network with other herbalists.
