Experience the Labyrinth
Labyrinth specialist Connie Fenty, MEd, will present two workshops about the history and mystery of this ancient symbol at Greenshire Arts Consortium. On October 9, participants will create a seven-path labyrinth and walk its path. On October 23, they will discover how the labyrinth can be used for conflict resolution and view the paths of the labyrinth from the perspective of the Native American belief that every decision must be based on what effect it will have for seven generations into the future. This experience will culminate outdoors with a labyrinth partner walk.
A board member of the International Labyrinth Society, Fenty has long shared her love of the Earth and passion for peace by inspiring individuals to spend more time in nature, where they can realize personal healing, wisdom, serenity and wholeness. She has presented at conferences nationwide. Her originally designed Common Ground Labyrinth was selected by the Labyrinth Society to be included in its entry to the World Trade Center Memorial Competition.
