Help for Displaced Farm Animals
Nov 30, 2016 07:17PM
The Gress Mountain Ranch is a nonprofit animal sanctuary for large, small, and exotic animals, dedicated to educating and helping people and animals that have been victims of abuse, neglect and their subsequent effects.
Sponsorships of $200 per child per week allow underprivileged children to attend a summer Ranch Camp. The ranch combines learning and fun; the children absorb the importance of kindness and experience the joy of a partnership with displaced animals in an enjoyable and educational way. Volunteers are needed, as well as monetary donations for supplies such as soap, journals, gatorade, juice and pizza.
Also needed are gift cards for Tractor Supply, Bird Mania, Quakertown Vet Clinic, Highland Animal Hospital, Orefield Vet Clinic, Giant, Weis, Wegmans, Weaver’s Hardware and Home Depot for the needs of 77 animals.
Unfunded projects and needed supplies include a tile floor for bird room, timothy hay, straw, pine shavings, clumping litter, Purina dry cat food, Cheerios, shredded wheat, duck, senior horse and alpaca pellet food, bird millet sprays, lettuce, canned pumpkin and carrots
Location: 3264 Highland Rd., Orefield. For more information or to sponsor a child, call Kathryn at 610-398-2122 or email [email protected].
