Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Powerful Films About the Healthcare Crisis

POWER Northeast is hosting screenings and talk backs for Fix It and Big Pharma, featuring Richard Master, the producer of both films. Mr. Master will be joined by advocates and community leaders on a panel to engage in conversation as well as answer audience questions following both screenings.

Fix It Screening will be held 6 to 8 p.m., June 19. This documentary goes deeply into the heart of the current healthcare crisis. Despite recent reforms, Americans remain vulnerable to economic catastrophe with a serious illness or injury. Fix It provides a solution to America’s runaway healthcare costs.

The Big Pharma Screening will be held 6 to 8 p.m., June 21. The natural economic forces of supply and demand for pharmaceuticals have been disrupted. Learn about why our prescription drug prices are out of control, who really benefits from our current system and how we can fix it.

Both screenings will take place at the Civic Theatre of Allentown, Theatre514 located at 514 North 19th Street in Allentown. Started by two Morning reporters in 1927 as “Civic Little Theatre,” the current day Civic Theatre of Allentown relies on the creativity, passion and inspiration of the staff members, the board and the thousands of volunteers that are mutually invested in its growth and success.

Seating is limited for both screenings. A $5 suggested donation can be paid at the door.
