Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

Sample the Latest Developments in Healthy Living

The Lehigh Valley Health Festival, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 30, at the Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School, is a family-friendly event to benefit the Children’s Home of Easton. This year’s Health Fest is in a new location and will include the Navigator 5K at 9 a.m. Local health-related businesses and clubs are ready to share their knowledge, conduct free screenings and demonstrate healing techniques.

The purpose of the festival is to raise awareness about health matters and help create an informed community by bringing together individuals, businesses and community organizations around the themes of fitness, nutrition, restoration and mental health.

Health Fest was created in 2014 by Denise Garcia-Brady, owner of Creative Actions Yoga. She explains that the health and wellness program was created to encourage participants to exercise, eat right, get enough sleep, manage stress and keep a positive outlook on life.

Admission is free. Location: 3300 Chester Ave., Bethlehem. For more information, attendees and vendors should visit lvhealthfest.org.
