Public Invited for Bethlehem Climate Action Planning

Bethlehem City Council will be holding a public meeting on December 13 at 6 p.m. to lay out the next steps of our Climate Action Plan (CAP) development process. City Council President J. William Reynolds invites Bethlehem residents to attend and asks that you please spread the word to anyone else who may be interested.

City Council is committed to doing its part to fight climate change and believes that local government, working collaboratively with interested citizens and community stakeholders, should lead by example by adopting energy conservation, sustainability, and other environmentally-sensitive operating practices, many of which also benefit the City financially by promoting efficient use of taxpayer resources.

The event will discuss what the City has already accomplished and how to move forward. The City Administration is continuing to work on existing climate initiatives including gathering energy baseline data for city operations and will provide an update during the meeting. Opportunities and methods for citizens to get directly involved in the climate action planning process in 2018 will also be discussed.

Location: City of Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda - 10 East Church St, Bethlehem. For more information contact Robert G. Vidoni, Esq., Assistant City Clerk at 610-865-7130.
