Natural Awakenings Lehigh Valley

SlowMarket Brings Local Bounty to Indoor Venue

The SlowMarket Farm Market at Northampton Community College is a blend of farmers, gardeners, coffee roasters, bakers and local artists gathering weekly to sell, educate, and support the local community from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, with great, nutrient-dense produce and other local crafts and foods all winter long.

They offer chemical-free vegetables and fresh picked green from Jett’s produce; grass-fed cheeses and pastured eggs; organic flour breads and bake goods from The Flour Shop; handmade soaps and body products from Teel's Hill Soapworks; organic and fair trade coffee from Monocacy Coffee; raw local honey from NCC campus bee hives; pickles, preserves, hot soups and jams; candles, clay art pottery and more.

Gary Warren, manager of the community garden, says, “We are the opposite of fast food, Slow food is the process of planting, growing and cooking, freezing and canning local whole food, which is infinitely better for your body.”

Location: NCC Main Campus, indoors in the 2nd floor of College Center, 3835 Green Pond Rd., Bethlehem.
