Green Drinks Seeks Input for Sustainability Plans
Green Drinks Lehigh Valley presents Prepared FutureLV: Mitigation Measures for a Sustainable, Healthy + Resilient Region, with Speaker: Geoff Reese, PE, director of environmental planning for the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., July 11, at Fegley's Allentown Brew Works. This casual social gathering is for those interested in creating a greener local environment and economy.
Preparing before a disaster strikes saves lives, lessens environmental, property and infrastructure damage, and enables communities to recover more quickly. Rising temperatures will impact the Lehigh Valley environment, affecting the types of plants, animals and aquatic life that thrive here and increasing the frequency and intensity of storms.
With these changes come new challenges to the health, safety and welfare of the community. The Lehigh Valley Hazard Mitigation Plan is currently being developed by the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission for Lehigh County and Northampton County. This is an opportunity to provide public comment and input to the plan.
