H.O.P.E. Laser Institute Offers Effective Treatment for Concussions

Fall sports are here again. Along with the excitement of the season, many parents and athletes experience apprehension about the potential for a sports injury. Regardless if it’s football, field hockey, lacrosse or soccer, all children are at risk for a potential sport-related injury.

Most American families have children participating in sports, potentially requiring treatment for a sports injury including concussion. HOPE’S therapist has been treating athletes for more 25 years and 10 years with Photobiomodulation (PBM).

A concussion is one of the leading concerns for young athletes. With over 475,000 concussions treated in the ER this year alone, it is the number-one cause of childhood trauma. Despite a great deal of press on concussions, treatment options are still not clear. Concussed patients are given cocoon therapy, which amounts to going home to rest until symptoms subside, or, more recently, patients are encouraged to return to exercise, which, to date, has no supported research.

HOPE has another option. HOPE Laser Institute offers a patent-pending protocol for the treatment of Concussion. The institute is now offering enrollment in a pilot study for this new treatment. Young people between the ages of 6 to 23 that are suffering from the effects of a concussion are eligible for this study. HOPE utilizes (PBM) to stimulate cell metabolism. PBM is painless, non-invasive and has no known adverse side effects in more than 50 years of use. HOPE is dedicated to ending to ending the devastating effects of Concussion and Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS).
