Counseling & Dance/Movement Therapy
Are you stressed or struggling emotionally? Are you going through significant life transitions? Experiencing losses? Feeling unhappy with yourself or a relationship? Is your child or adolescent facing challenges? We can find ourselves in difficult places as we journey through life.
As a seasoned therapist who has been practicing for more than 25 years, I know life throws us curveballs. There is hope. With support and tapping into and developing our resources, we can find ways to move through tough times and dark places and emerge stronger, more confident, capable and transformed. I am here to collaborate with and support you in moving to a better place. My style is warm, approachable and compassionate. I offer a safe, comfortable and accepting space where you will be seen and heard.
As a licensed professional counselor and board-certified dance/movement therapist, I believe in the profound connection between body and mind. Feeling better is supported by engaging body wisdom. I have extensive training in nonverbal dynamics and movement through all stages of life and how movement plays a role in attachment, personality, relationships and our psychological state. I offer traditional talk therapy, and I can integrate the expressive arts therapies into the therapy process (by exploring issues through the body, movement, play and the arts). I work with people of all ages – guiding them to places of improved emotional health, wellness and personal growth.
