What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is being talked about everywhere from small spas to national news.  It is described as “using a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, and, with spiral design tips delivering painless extractions.”  What exactly are in these fusion serums though, that are so great and helpful for your skin.  Let’s break down the ingredients that are in your basic signature HydraFacial treatment.

First, the exfoliation process HydraFacial uses a mixture called “Activ -4”.  Activ-4 includes Glucosamine Hydrochloride and Lactic Acid, both of which are suitable for all skin types.  This deeply cleanses the skin while softening sebum and impurities to assist the extraction process.  Glucosamine Hydrochloride is known to accelerate wound healing, increase skin hydration, decrease wrinkles and treat hyperpigmentation.

The next process is HydraFacial's “Glysal Prep” made up of 7.5% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid.  The benefits of this acid peel are a more aggressive exfoliation and visible skin rejuvenation with little to no irritation.  Of course, if you are allergic to aspirin you may want to skip this step and steer clear of salicylic acids.

After your acid peel we begin the extraction process with HydraFacial’s Beta HD to help fight against oil and congested skin.  Beta HD is infused with:  willow bark (exfoliates), Tasmanian pepper extract (reduces inflammation), honey extract (hydrates) and salicylic acid (dissolves skin debris).  These ingredients clean clogged pores; they fight against blackheads, whiteheads and acne.

Finally, HydraFacial's moisturizing solution called “Antiox +”.  This blend reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with green tea extract, which is an antioxidant.  It includes red algae extract to brighten skin, arnica flower extract to calm skin, Hyaluronic acid to moisturize, and copper pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (a peptide) to improve skin elasticity.

HydraFacial is a service that should be performed once every 4-6 weeks, and a great at home skincare regimen is strongly suggested to prolong results.  Eminence Organics is a great clean skin care line to make your HydraFacial results last even longer.  This skincare line is 100% concentrated and derived of fruits and vegetables.  With a broad spectrum of products Eminence is suitable for all skin types from the most sensitive to the most problematic.  You can use HydraFacial instead of, or in conjunction with, Botox as long as you wait 5 days after the injection, and you must wait 2 weeks after other injectables, such as filler.

At New Attitude we want you to experience the best.  With HydraFacial treatments and Eminence Organics you will have the best of both worlds in keeping your skin looking great and youthful.  What we put inside our bodies reflects from the outside, but we can help look awesome with these additional services and products.
