The Mixed/Biliary Eye

“Green-eyed lady, lovely lady, slowly strolling toward the sun…” was the opening line and subject of the iconic Sugarloaf hit from 1970. This iris type is another beautiful example of what our eyes reveal about who we are! Last month we discussed the blue eye (Lymphatic eye) in Iridology, a holistic modality that sees physical and emotional clues in the iris, which can help people seeking help for systemic issues, among other things.

This month, we look at the Mixed/Biliary type in Constitutional Iridology. This iris is what people who have light brown, hazel, or green eyes typically are considered. Hazel/Green Genotype eyes purportedly make up roughly 25% of America’s population. It is a genetic combination of the Brown and Blue iris, containing less melanin than the true Brown eye.

The Mixed/Biliary Eye tends to present challenges with the following:

  1. Kidney disturbances
  2. Higher food allergies
  3. Disease of the biliary tract, vulnerability to viral and bacterial infections of the liver, bowel sluggishness/constipation, tendency to gallstones, kidney stones, and hypoglycemia
  4. More susceptible to candidiasis
  5. Spastic circulatory issues
  6. Difficulty with fat metabolism

This eye type may want to avoid superheated fats and oils and hydrogenated oils such as canola, soy, vegetable oils, and refined sugar/carbohydrates. The Mixed/Biliary Eye should embrace plenty of raw foods in their diet, and good fats such as cold-pressed coconut, flax, sesame, or olive oils. They can consider periodic cleansing/fasting of the gastrointestinal system. Dandelion, Milk Thistle, Licorice, and Gentian root are system-supportive herbal supplements.

A great affirmation for a hazel-eyed person is “All life is sweet.”
